Heritage Plains Cattle is rooted in the same values we bring to everything we do — hard work, land stewardship, and doing things the right way.The name itself is a nod to something deeper. With Cherokee roots, the land has always meant more to us than acres and yield. To the Cherokee people, the plains were sacred — a place to live in balance with the earth, to care for the animals that sustained life, and to pass something meaningful on to the next generation.

 

Heritage Plains Cattle is our way of honoring that legacy while building something new on top of it. Through our backgrounding operation, we take freshly weaned calves and set them up for long-term success — focusing on nutrition, health, and steady growth before they move on to the next stage. It's a critical window in an animals life, and we take it seriously. By prioritizing animal health and low-stress handling from the start, we're able to deliver consistent, well-developed cattle that are ready to perform. Good cattle don't happen by accident.
